Flawless Sensor Mouse List – The perfect mouse
A flawless sensor mouse is some of these things that I always thought I had, but never knew I didn’t. When we buy some of these extremely expensive gaming mice we expect them to be the best engineered devices available. Sadly this is not the case, and a flawless sensor mouse (or superior sensor, sometimes perfect sensor) is actually quite rare. Lots of gaming mice sensors are equipped with certain algorithms and try to predict our movement. Most of us competitive gamers don’t want that. In competitive gaming we want our mice to produce our exact movements on the screen. We want to be as close to the metal as possible.
Most people aren’t even aware that a mouse sensor could have flaws or that flawless mouse sensors are even available. It certainly might even be debatable what a flawless sensor actually is. So we want to get this straight:
What’s a flawless sensor mouse? What’s a superior sensor or perfect sensor mouse?
All these words are interchangeable and mean one thing: We want a mouse sensor that doesn’t interfere in what we are doing. When we talk about a flawless sensor mouse we mean that there is little to no prediction algorithms, no mouse acceleration, no jitter, and no axis differences. All of these things were regularly included in some mice to make the use of these mice more comfortable and predictable.
While most mice currently available still have some flaws, we consider these mice sensors to be the cream of the crop or ‘flawless’. All these issues mentioned before should be absent to be considered a flawless sensor mouse. This is mostly the case for optical mice, laser mice regularly have a variety of other issues associated with them. Laser mice for example can be ‘too’ sensitive and produce irregular outputs.
Basically all of the mice are used by professional gamers. We gathered them from our CS:GO Setups and Overwatch Setups. You really can’t go wrong with any of these. But if you want to make sure they fit your hand, have a look at our size comparisons as well. The most important thing we can recommend though is to try them out in person.
Additionally, for left-handed people choosing a mouse can be difficult as well. That is why we have provided information on whether they are ambidextrous or not.
Please feel free to have a look at the list. We would very much appreciate any corrections. Please make a comment if we got anything wrong. Thank you.

Why is the g403 from Logitech not considered? Too new?
Added it aswell! Thank you! π
Rival 700 has smaller size than Rival 300 π
You are correct. Changed it. Thank you! π
You should add the Finalmouse Tournament Pro. It’s a very popular one!
Added it to the list! π
What about the Razer Mamba Tournament Edition?
Not flawless.
Does the Logitech G100S considered a mouse with flawless sensor? I think I saw it in one reseach, but I don’t remember the name of the page.
Yes it considered flawless, I added it to the table.
Basically, every Logitech mouse is flawless, and the fun part is that those mice are really cheap too, i got my g502 for 45 euro
You got a great deal on that mouse! π
Because I’m on a low budget,I can’t really afford something like a G Pro or Flick G1,I was thinking of the G100S. Would you guys suggest it? I mean Cloud9’s n0thing plays with it I guess. Also which mousepad would you suggest for it? I was thinking of getting cloth, but they say it works best at hard pads? IDK
Yes, the G100s is a good price/value mouse. Any of the mouse pads the pros are using are fine. Steelseries QcK+ is the best option for you since you are on a budget though.
Check out: https://on-winning.com/cs-go-config-setup-settings-monitor-mice-sensitivity-pros/ for mousepads.
Thank you for the answer, Max. Just one more thing.Since I often go to LANs, but there are restrictions to downloading or using gaming related software. So what I’m saying is if I set 400 dpi to default when I’m home, would it change if I plug the mouse to a PC without LGS (Logitech Gaming Software)?
Hello Ivo,
I do not know the answer to your question, sorry! π
Oh..Well that’s ok. I appreciate the time you took to answer me tho. It really helped me. Thank you once again, Max!
No problem! π
Hey Max, would you consider doing a settings & setup list for Rainbow Six Siege? Great work btw!
Thanks! Not as of now unfortunately. π
Hey just wondering where the G402 stands? Thanks!
Flawless.
Thank you Max!
but it hasnt the same sensor as the 302?
Same sensor. π
Hi max, thanks for the information I’m actually thinking to set up a PC from zero ground… I like the Logitech G600, cause I really like MMOs, I would like to know if it’s flawless as well… Thanks again
Not flawless, but if you are set on playing MMOs mainly it will serve you well! π
Any data on the Corsair M65?
Not flawless!
What about the new(ish) M65 Pro RGB, since they updated the sensor from a laser sensor to the optical DPI Pixart PMW336x.
Flawless!
What about the Logitech G300s? Hoping to pick something up locally so I can play this weekend and my old mouse is killing me.
Not flawless.
why its not flawless? it uses A3055 sensor.
The sensor is flawless, however the sensor placement is really bad which causes problems.
You should add the Nixeus Revel, Dream Machines DM1 Pro S, Corsair M65 Pro, and Coolermaster Mastermouse Pro L. All of these use the PMW3360 sensor.
Great Suggestions! Added all of them! Thank you! π
Why is g402 not in the list Max? (I saw you wrote flawless for that in the comments but it is still not in the list)
Added it to the list! π
There’s no data of Microsoft Intellimouse Explorer 3.0, can this be added ?
Could not gather enough information on it so I decided not to add it. However it uses an optical sensor and is flawless. π
Hello!
I think you should add mad catz mices too, they’re pretty popular among fps players (and I own one too xD).
So why does it say no by the rival 100 and sensie raw?
Razer Deathadder Elite?
Flawless.
How Logitech G302 is not flawless? G402 and G100s is use same sensor but it’s flawless
Fixed, thank you. π
ADNS-9800 is known as the delay issues. But I think the delay issue of Cooler Master Mizar was fixed by firmware.
Also the Mionix Naos 8200 had been fixed the issue before Mionix started selling, Mionix announced so.
Therefore, these two are flawless mice, I guess.
Good to know! π
Hello Max, do you have infos about Cougar mice? I think they got really good looking mice and many sensors they use are here, like ADNS-3090 or Pixart PMW3310, but I dont know if they are well implemented.
how about g102 prodigy? i heard it has Mercury sensor? flawless?
Flawless.
Why no add it to the list?
What about logitech G203 Prodigy?
Flawless.
Why not add it to the list? also the g203prodigy is g102 with different number if im not mistaken
Missing some more PMW3310 ones:
Asus Strix Claw
Fnatic Gear Flick
Mionix Naos 7000
QPAD 8K Optical
So are you saying that any mouse with laser sensor is not flawless? Phillips twin eye is flawless except for z-axis lag which can be almost fully eliminated by calibration. No built-in acceleration as well as far as I know.
It’s a well known fact within communities like ESR and Overclock.net that no laser mice have “flawless” tracking at this point. The Z-axis issue is not lag, it’s a bug where the sensor translates movement on the Z-Axis into X and Yβthere’s no calibrating around that, or at least not in a way that will get through raw input, and you should use raw input or your tracking will be flawed anyway. Plus, the PTE also suffer from “dynamic CPI scaling” which basically feels like acceleration.
WHy not the Razer Naga Hex V2
Not flawless.
Does the G300s is flawless? I didn’t see the sensor on the list, for what I’ve read it uses a 3055, thanks
Flawless.
Razer Abyssus V2?
Not flawless.
You told Razer Abyssus is flawless.Abyssus V2 is beter.
True.
I feel like deathadder 2013 and g403 feel significantly different at the same DPI and same mouse settings….what can I do to equalize? I am getting many more headshots with my old Deathadder than my new g403 right now! I want to change my g403 to feel the same as my deathadder!
There should be hardly any difference between the two. So either you have to get used to the G403 or maybe just keep playing with the deathadder 2013?
Can’t find any optical mouse like the ss sensei anything close?
Zowie FK1+
hmm..and my Rival 300 feels different also. So weird. My deathadder is about to bite the dust unfortunately as it disconnects frequently and then reconnects. Maybe a razer synapse issue?
I remember someone commenting that the actual DPI of preprogrammed (3 dpi settings) Zowie evo EC2a was not exactly as advertised…like 50 or 100 dpi off.
Yeah, mouse drivers often cause trouble. That’s why I prefer Zowie mice which are just plug and play without the driver hassle.
You need to include “sensor smoothing” in the data.
