Flawless Sensor Mouse List – The perfect mouse
A flawless sensor mouse is some of these things that I always thought I had, but never knew I didn’t. When we buy some of these extremely expensive gaming mice we expect them to be the best engineered devices available. Sadly this is not the case, and a flawless sensor mouse (or superior sensor, sometimes perfect sensor) is actually quite rare. Lots of gaming mice sensors are equipped with certain algorithms and try to predict our movement. Most of us competitive gamers don’t want that. In competitive gaming we want our mice to produce our exact movements on the screen. We want to be as close to the metal as possible.
Most people aren’t even aware that a mouse sensor could have flaws or that flawless mouse sensors are even available. It certainly might even be debatable what a flawless sensor actually is. So we want to get this straight:
What’s a flawless sensor mouse? What’s a superior sensor or perfect sensor mouse?
All these words are interchangeable and mean one thing: We want a mouse sensor that doesn’t interfere in what we are doing. When we talk about a flawless sensor mouse we mean that there is little to no prediction algorithms, no mouse acceleration, no jitter, and no axis differences. All of these things were regularly included in some mice to make the use of these mice more comfortable and predictable.
While most mice currently available still have some flaws, we consider these mice sensors to be the cream of the crop or ‘flawless’. All these issues mentioned before should be absent to be considered a flawless sensor mouse. This is mostly the case for optical mice, laser mice regularly have a variety of other issues associated with them. Laser mice for example can be ‘too’ sensitive and produce irregular outputs.
Basically all of the mice are used by professional gamers. We gathered them from our CS:GO Setups and Overwatch Setups. You really can’t go wrong with any of these. But if you want to make sure they fit your hand, have a look at our size comparisons as well. The most important thing we can recommend though is to try them out in person.
Additionally, for left-handed people choosing a mouse can be difficult as well. That is why we have provided information on whether they are ambidextrous or not.
Please feel free to have a look at the list. We would very much appreciate any corrections. Please make a comment if we got anything wrong. Thank you.

what about VicTsing Mouse Gaming 2400DPI?
If you want to go wireless Logitech is the only way to go.
Hey Max! I want to know what about the new Lancehead Razer Mouse. If its not flawless can you recommend me a wireless one? I have the zowie but the cable bothers me and i dont know if the bungee will work.
Thanks!
Logitech G403 wireless and Logitech G900 are by far the best wireless mice out there. π
Nixeus Revel or Logitech G Pro? Just thinking on overall build quality, scrollwheel (I use it for weapon change in-game), sensor, weight and cable. I’m not interested in shape advices.
Thanks!
The build quality of the Logitech G Pro is 10/10.
But they have delay the wireless mice? Apart from that i have a wireless headset too and i want to know if there may be any loss signal having the both peripherals wireless.
And what about the Razer Lancehead and Corsair Glaive?
Thanks Again!
The Logitech wireless mice don’t have delay! π (G900 and G403 Wireless)
hey master, when do you want to update the list?
We will when there is time. Sorry for the wait.
ok bro, thanks for support
Mad Catz RAT 8 also has PMW3360
We are planning to add a bunch of new mice sometime soon, I’ll write it down. Thank you!
According to Logitechs Website, the G100s has a resolution of 250-2500 dpi.
Fixed, thank you! π
Max is cooler master xornet ii (Avago 3320) flawless? because Im using deathadder chroma but its so big for my hands and I cant aim nice in cs go. Xornet ii looks comfortable. Also if you guys have other small mouse suggestions im here to listen.
Maybe take a look at the Logitech G Pro. Really small mouse, great build quality and the best sensor on the market. π
Thanks, I’ll try it dude
According to the list, g400s (logitech) is flawless, but i feel that it has some input lag, and i’m not the only one i think.
This list is about the sensors of the mice. We only state that the sensor of the g400s is flawless. The input lag you might feel has almost certainly nothing to do with the sensor. Hope this helps! π
Did you try the Corsair Glaive mouse? I didnt found the g403 here and i dont like the g900 design. What about the New Razer Lancehead?
I haven’t tried the Corsair Glaive or the Razer Lancehead. They seem to be pretty good though. π
Hi Max Hope you are doing fine based on your list I have bought Asus Gladius is it a nice mouse and being on top of the list does it mean it is the best out of all other’s on list secondly the polling rate of 2000hz how can it help in fps games please explain when you get time.
The list is not a ranking so the place of the mouse in the list does not matter. Mouse HZ is just how often the mouse reports its position to the computer. The higher, the better if it can consistently handle the 2000 HZ.
What’s up with the QPAD DX-20 ?
Flawless. π
Thanks man!
Hey Max, I’m looking for a flawless mouse as close to the Logitech Mouseman Dual Optical as possible in terms of size, shape and buttons… I just love the side button that my thumb rests over and just requires a gentle squeeze without changing my grip… any recommendations? (I currently have the Logitech G9X and it has no rounded support especially in the back so it doesn’t fit my hand as well, I hate the travel and position on the thumb buttons since I have to change my grip and worst of all I can’t track for crap on it! For some reason it skyrocketed in price after being discontinued so I’m thinking of selling it used and replacing it.) Thanks for putting this awesome list together! One more question, where is the best place to go to try out these mice in person?
The Logitech G Pro could be quite good for your grip. Maybe try some electronic shops close to you?
hello, is the ASUS strix Claw considered a flawless mice?
ps and is there any copy/lookalike of this mouse ( Lift-off Distance – Shapewise and – sensor placement and mayby friction & fps )
(got Not to big hands, and playing overwatch
–
Using Hyperx pulsfire atm with strix claw speed mat or even a control mat, but its just not working ok. prolly due being bigger i guess hyperx 127+ vs strix 122+ in Lenght Height
i would go back to asus strix claw, but due alot of program processes 7 i think for this mouse,
so looking for a coppy off (strix claw) but other brand.
pls any help appreciated
Maybe try zowie mice. They don’t use any driver. π
Hello fellow mouse enthusiast! for the life of me I can’t find “the one” it seems so simple. I want; shaped as much as possible, like a microsoft intelli 1.1a….Flawless sensor……at least 100dpi increments…..3ms or less click latency….
This list and the click latency list need to be updated so maybe some of the new mice fit the bill. Maybe someone can help get me sorted out. The best shapes I’ve seen (coolmast pro L andv asus ROG gladius) If I knew the click latency for the ORG gladius I might settle for it. please and thank you. π
Zowie ZA/FK should fit you well. π
Why isn’t the rival 100 a flawless sensor? Just wondering.
It’s fine on less than 1000 DPI. If you set it higher it has problems tracking. That’s why it’s not flawless.
Hey, does rival 110 got flawless sensor, it’s TrueMove 1 Optical
Flawless. π
Hello, thanks for the hardwork, what about corsair m95 vengeance, i bought It for gw2 but using It now for ow… I dont really wanna change it sinceramente it’s pretty expensive
It’s not the best since it’s a laser mouse but if you just play casually it’s definitely good enough for your needs.
Corsair Glaive RGB?
Flawless.
Is Pixart PMW3325 flawless? Thanks for the list btw^^.
Flawless.
Thank you! <3
What about pmw3305? Like a4tech bloody v5 and other?
Not flawless.
what about roccat nyth, Logitech M570 Wireless Trackball, corsair scimitar pro rgb mmo gaming mouse, logitech g600 mmo gaming mouse
Depends on the games you are playing. For MMOs they are fine but you are better of with mice from our list for FPS.
What about the razer lancehead tournament edition?
Flawless.
Just wanted to drop in and say “Thank you” for this. Keep this list going as it’s a wealth of information for us people looking for the best gaming mouse. <3 <3
Hey kindnuguz, glad you like the list! π
I think the Lancehead TE (not the same sensor as regular lancehead) should be added. ItΒ΄s supposed to have the same sensor as the deathadder Elite which is top of the line!
Added the Razer DeathAdder Elite and Razer Lancehead TE to the list. Good suggestions! π
What about Gigabyte XM300? I heard so much praise for this mouse for the money and even chosen as n.2 mouse by a pro Quake Champions player. It has 3988 sensor so it should be flawless or ain’t it?
It’s flawless.
what about the new sensei / rival 310?
Very good mice. Flawless. π
New RIVAL 110 – flawless? and could you add it to the list?
If you mean the Rival 310, yes it is flawless. π
Nope, I mean the Rival 110.
https://steelseries.com/gaming-mice/rival-110
That one is flawless as well! π
Hi, my razer ouruborus mouse is good?
Not flawless. It has a laser sensor. π
Hi Max, I’m a left handed gamer and wanted to know about this sensor (Razer DeathAdder Left-handed Edition) Cheers friend.
https://www2.razerzone.com/au-en/gaming-mice/razer-deathadder-left-hand-edition
That mouse and sensor is pretty old. Since you are left handed you can look at all the mice in this list that are ambidextrous. They are all great mice if you are fine with the ambidextrous shape.
Sensei RAW is not a right handed mouse
Fixed, thank you! π
Hi There!, What about Roccat Kova 2016 (Pro-Optic R6 Sensor) ? Is it Good ?
Thanks and have a great day!
Not flawless. π
Is the SteelSeries Sensei 310 flawless? I’m thinking about getting it and wanted to check here, but couldn’t find it ;_;
Yes it is flawless. One of the best mice you can get. π
Also what about the g703?
Flawless. π
Hey! What’s up?
Have a question: Is The Pixart PMW3320 sensor in the Corsair Harpoon flawless? That’s only for the info about the PMW3320.
Also what I need is something with good thumb support (if possible including rubber lining, because gravity) as well as easy, quick access to the buttons in that area, and as for the shape and weight, as close as possible to Logitech G502, saving the edgy details which are unimportant.
Any suggestion?
The Corsair Harpoon is a really good mouse for the price! π
Is the PMW3360 good for arm aiming (does it work well while doing fast movements)?
Found the post really helpfull.
Ty for all!
Yes, it is a flawless sensor! π
Has the Logitech G203 been tested?
The sensor of the Logitech G203 is flawless! π
Hi Max,
I just got a Logitech G203. Is the G203 still flawless (with updated firmware) at 8000 DPI? Or should I keep running it at 6000 DPI?
Thanks.
Hello Chris,
the Logitech G203 is flawless at any DPI step. Try to keep your DPI lower though for easier control. π
Thanks for the information. The mouse works really well, looks nice and is only Β£25 in the UK.
Should I keep my pointer speed Windows setting at 6/11? Is that setting more precise or is that a myth?
The Rival 100 dimensions are wrong dude
You are correct, updated the dimensions, thank you! π
Wow this is a great list :D. My mouse isn’t on it though. Is the Corsair Scimitar (non pro) flawless? Thanks!
Thanks, glad you like it! The sensor (Avago ADNS-3988) of the Corsair Scimitar (non-PRO) is flawless. The sensor (Pixart PMW3367) of the Corsair Scimitar PRO is flawless as well. Hope this helps. π
Thanks!
No problem! π
Hey! what about cm storm sentinel advance 3??
The sensor (Avago 3988) of the CM Storm Sentinel Advance III is flawless. π
Have you tried the Cougar Minos X5? it’s a 2khz polling rate mouse. This list is great maybe you can add how ergonomic they are, for example I hate “ergonomic” mice because the right finger is usually lower and that means that the ring finger is even lower, so some mice have a piece of plastic for the ring finger, but then they forget about the little finger that ends so low that it’s forced to touch the mousepad and it also gets constantly pinched by the piece of plastic for the ring finger. So maybe you can use something like that to give them an ergonomics score.
I think that an ergonomics score sounds interesting but that topic is way too subjective. The sensor (Pixart PMW3360) of the Cougar Minos X5 is flawless. π
Thank you! Yes I can see it can be very subjective, one last suggestion is if the mouse generates heat, this can be really annoying if it makes your hand sweat. Anyways thank you again, I’ll keep searching for a mouse π
No problem, let me know what mouse you decide on! π
is the logitech g602 flawless?
The Logitech G602 is not flawless. π
is the Roccat KONE Pure SE flawless (probably PWM3325) ? Thx.
Flawless. π
What about the Truemove3 sensor?
Flawless. π
Hi Max, Iβm thinking of getting the Corsair Harpoon which uses PMW3320 sensor. Is it flawless?
The Corsair Harpoon is a really good mouse due to the low price point. However, the sensor spins out on certain speeds. If I were you I would go for a mouse with a 3360 sensor. (Zowie EC2-B / SteelSeries Rival 310 for example) π
Please update this article
Add more mice or what do you mean exactly? π
Yeah bro I meant please update the article with more mice like the new Nixeus Revel, Roccat, Steelseries 95, 110, 310. Etc.
Also what do you say about the Hiraliy F300, it has a PMW3325 I heard?
We will try to add more mice to the list in the future. π Never heard about the Hiraliy F300.
Could you also add price of the mice to the list? Would be a great addition to help people choose which mouse to pick based on the price if anyone has a certain budget.
I am currently looking for a cheap but great gaming mouse mainly for FPS. Any suggestions?
I always suggest Zowie for wired mice and Logitech for wireless. Depends on a lot of factors. π
Hi Max, what about the new ZOWIE EC2-B? Besides, do you know any big differences between the EC-A and EC-B?
The EC2-B has a newer sensor and the side buttons are a little bit more stiff. It is one of the best mice out there. π
Thank you, then that’s my choice! π
Good choice, have fun with it! π
Hi max! Nice list bro… I wonder if the Logitech G100 (the none “s” version) is flawless…
Not flawless. π
Ans the Roccat Lua Trip Button? , it has a R2 Pro Optic sensor… I know (thanks to your article) the R3 is flawless, but Idk if the R2 is…
Just get a Zowie, Logitech or one of the newer SteelSeries mice and you won’t regret it. π
Hi thanks for the list , is the qpad dx20 sensor flawless? It has the 3320 I think
Yes, the sensor of the QPAD DX-20 Optical is flawless. π
Thanks bro I really like how u do this to help ppl, I heard that sensor spins out tho ? Thanks again great site
Thank you, the sensor of the QPAD DX-20 does not spin out to my knowledge. π
Hi, my current mouse (Logitech G203 Prodigy) broke, as it double clicks 50% of the time. I am on a budget right now, and I want to ask: should I just rebuy this mouse or buy a Razer DeathAdder 2013? Or should I buy something else that is around the price of these mice?
I would get the Logitech G203 again if you liked the shape. π
