  1. A higher DPI is preferable for gaming than a lower DPI for a number of reasons, however ultimately it boils down to personal opinion. A higher DPI makes your mouse more accurate and decreases input latency. After all, in competitive games, every millimeter counts, even if the gains are marginal.
